A 12-week cloud migration moves Screenvision Media’s core systems, improving scalability and data protection with zero business disruption.

Screenvision Media, a national leader in delivering comprehensive premium video advertising and content representation services for top-tier cinema exhibitors, announced that the company has successfully modernized its core business systems by migrating to Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The transformation is part of Screenvision’s 15-year partnership with Cintra, a leading provider of Oracle-specialized Managed Services and Enterprise Cloud Architecture expertise.

The extensive and critical modernization initiative was designed to enhance resilience and data protection, boost scalability and ensure license compliance. Given Screenvision’s private equity backing and growth focus, the company transitioned to a cloud-based operating strategy. Cintra designed and executed the multi-cloud migration over a 12-week period, ensuring zero business disruption.

“Our migration to the Azure + Oracle Cloud platform has delivered measurable improvements in service levels, cost control and flexibility,” said Michael Henry, Senior Vice President of Technology, Screenvision Media. “Cintra has been a trusted partner throughout the process, providing a seamless transition and continue to provide 24×7 support for our new environment.”

Utilizing best-practice OCI architecture and the Oracle-Azure Interconnect, Screenvision now benefits from high availability, disaster recovery and dynamic workload scaling, which will better prepare the company to meet seasonal advertising peaks. The strategic move satisfies private equity modernization mandates and also lays the groundwork for innovation in digital and in-theater advertising.

“Screenvision’s rapid transformation is a prime example of how modern businesses can harness the power of multi-cloud to drive agility, resilience, and long-term value,” said Abdul Sheikh, Chief Technology Officer at Cintra. “By combining our deep Oracle expertise with robust automation and managed services, we enabled Screenvision Media to modernize without disruption—positioning them for innovation and growth in a highly dynamic industry.”

The multitude of positive outcomes delivered include:

Scalability and Performance
With Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s dynamic workload scaling and built-in disaster recovery, Screenvision Media can now manage seasonal surges in advertising traffic without performance degradation. The architecture provides local failover and real-time data protection, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.

Cost Efficiency
By eliminating on-premises hardware and transitioning to OCI’s predictable PaaS pricing, Screenvision Media has achieved significant IT cost savings.

Operational Resilience
The new platform enables zero-downtime recovery and around-the-clock monitoring. Cintra’s 24×7 managed services ensure that any issues are identified and resolved proactively, reducing operational risk and freeing up internal teams for innovation.

Strategic Impact
The cloud transformation supports Screenvision Media’s long-term digital advertising ambitions, enabling faster integration of future Azure and Oracle services. With better financial visibility, simplified compliance, and a multi-cloud foundation, Screenvision Media is now better positioned to adapt to changing market dynamics.

Key outcomes include:

Significant IT cost reductions

Oracle is offering a powerful suite of pre-built generative AI services and features that work together to help customers solve business problems smarter and faster

Oracle announced the general availability of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service along with new innovations that make it easier for enterprises to take advantage of the latest advancements in generative AI. OCI Generative AI service is a fully managed service that seamlessly integrates large language models (LLMs) from Cohere and Meta Llama 2 to address a wide range of business use cases. OCI Generative AI service now includes multilingual capabilities that support over 100 languages, an improved GPU cluster management experience, and flexible fine-tuning options. Customers can use OCI Generative AI service in the Oracle Cloud and on-premises via OCI Dedicated Region.

Greg Pavlik, senior vice president, AI and Data Management, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, said, “Oracle’s AI focus is on solving real-world business use cases to enable widespread adoption in the enterprise. To do this, we are embedding AI across all layers of the technology stack by integrating generative AI into our applications and converged database, and offering new LLMs and managed services—all supported by a fast and cost-effective AI infrastructure. Instead of providing a tool kit that requires assembling, we are offering a powerful suite of pre-built generative AI services and features that work together to help customers solve business problems smarter and faster.”

Ritu Jyoti, group vice president, Worldwide Artificial Intelligence and Automation Research Practice and Global AI Research Lead, IDC, said, “With today’s news, Oracle is bringing generative AI to customer workloads and their data—not asking customers to move their data to a separate vector database. With a common architecture for generative AI that is being integrated across the Oracle ecosystem from its Autonomous Database to Fusion SaaS applications, Oracle is bringing generative AI to where exabytes of customer data already reside, both in cloud data centers and on-premises environments. This greatly simplifies the process for organizations to deploy generative AI with their existing business operations.”

The initial beta release supports OCI OpenSearch. Upcoming releases will support a wider range of data search and aggregation tools and provide access to Oracle Database 23c with AI Vector Search and MySQL HeatWave with Vector Store. Oracle will also deliver prebuilt agent-actions across its suite of SaaS applications, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite, Oracle NetSuite, and industry applications such as Oracle Health.
