Onetag Acquires Aryel to Reinvent Programmatic Ads

Onetag acquires Aryel to combine premium inventory, immersive ad formats and AI decisioning into a self-serve platform for outcome-driven programmatic advertising.

Onetag, a global exchange and smart curation platform, has acquired Aryel, an Italian ad-tech company specializing in immersive and interactive advertising experiences, in a move aimed at reshaping how value is created across programmatic advertising.

Backed by private equity firm Wise Equity, the acquisition brings together premium publisher inventory, creative technology and AI-driven campaign optimization within a single self-serve platform designed to deliver measurable business outcomes across the open internet.

From Media Curation to Value Exchange

The deal marks a strategic shift for Onetag as advertisers increasingly demand clearer returns on media investments and simpler workflows in a fragmented advertising ecosystem.

By integrating Aryel’s immersive creative technology, Onetag plans to unify three core elements of digital advertising within one proprietary platform:

  • Premium media supply, connected to a global exchange of high-quality publishers
  • Immersive creative formats, designed to increase engagement and user interaction
  • AI-powered decisioning, aimed at optimizing campaigns toward measurable outcomes such as engagement, consideration and conversions

The combined platform is designed to operate as a fully self-service solution, reducing operational complexity while giving advertisers more control over campaign execution and performance measurement.

Creative Intelligence Meets Media Delivery

Aryel’s interactive ad formats will be integrated directly into the Onetag exchange, enabling immersive advertising experiences across more than 50,000 premium placements.

The integration allows creative performance signals—such as engagement and interactions—to inform media-buying decisions in real time, enabling campaigns to adjust dynamically as they run.

Rather than treating creative assets as separate from media buying, the platform embeds creative intelligence directly into campaign optimization.

AI Decisioning Powered by Global Data

The platform’s decisioning engine draws on large-scale datasets spanning audience behavior, campaign performance and interaction signals across global advertising environments.

This data feeds Onetag’s AI optimization layer, enabling advertisers to align media buying strategies with specific business objectives rather than traditional performance indicators such as impressions or clicks.

The company says the approach aims to create a more accountable model for digital advertising, linking media quality, creative impact and performance measurement into a single system.

Expanding Global Reach

Onetag’s exchange currently connects more than 2,000 publishers and 5,000 advertisers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Latin America.

Aryel brings additional relationships with global brands and agencies—particularly in sectors such as luxury, beauty and fashion—further expanding the platform’s reach.

“Aryel was created to push digital advertising beyond passive impressions,” said Mattia Salvi, chief executive of Aryel. “Our immersive formats are designed to capture attention, drive interaction and generate meaningful signals while respecting the user experience.”

Filippo Gramigna, co-chief executive of Onetag, said the acquisition reflects a broader need to simplify the programmatic ecosystem.

“The industry doesn’t need more complexity,” Gramigna said. “It needs a better value exchange.”

According to Valentina Franceschini, senior partner at Wise Equity, the combined platform is positioned to establish a new model for value creation in programmatic advertising by integrating media, creative technology and AI-driven optimization at scale.

With the acquisition, Onetag is betting that the future of digital advertising will rely less on fragmented transactions—and more on unified platforms built around measurable outcomes.
