Estonia’s bilt.me Raises $700K to Build Native Apps With AI

The pre-seed round, led by Superhero Capital, backs a platform that takes users from an idea to a live iOS and Android app.

Estonian AI app-building platform bilt.me has raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding in a round led by Superhero Capital. Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk also backed the round.

Founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspää, bilt.me is developing an AI agent that takes users from an initial idea to a live mobile app. The company began as a hackathon project aimed at working around Apple’s app-testing restrictions, then evolved into a platform designed to make native app development accessible to more people.

Unlike AI app builders that mainly generate web apps, bilt.me focuses on native iOS and Android apps. The company sees an opportunity to lower the technical barriers to mobile development, so people with ideas can build and launch products without going through the traditional development process.

“Our bet is that apps, not websites, are where the next generation of businesses gets built,” Annus said.

Building native apps also required the company to develop its own supporting infrastructure. Seeing a lack of suitable tools on the market, bilt.me built payments, cloud and sharing layers, called Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud and Bilt Link.

The platform has passed six figures in annual recurring revenue, with revenue doubling month over month for three consecutive months. Thousands of people use bilt.me to build apps: about 75% consumer apps and 25% private or in-house tools. Paying apps built on the platform are live on the App Store and Google Play.

The company sees an opportunity for Europe at the application layer of AI. Annus pointed to the region’s lagging position in energy, semiconductors, AI infrastructure and frontier AI models.

“But there’s one layer where Europe is still world-class: the application layer, turning AI into things real people use and pay for,” he said. “That layer runs on builders, and we don’t have nearly enough of them. Everyone told us the magic was in San Francisco. We went, and came home more convinced than ever that the builders are already here.”

Annus also highlighted how users are turning their knowledge and ideas into products and businesses on the platform.

“Our users are living at the frontier of AI,” he said. “They take knowledge only they have, solve a problem everyone shares, and build a real business out of nothing in almost no time.”

bilt.me will use the new funding to support its global expansion and further develop its application-building capabilities.
