The deal runs in both directions: Salesforce data and workflows come into Claude, while Claude becomes a default reasoning engine across Salesforce.
Salesforce and Anthropic on Aug. 26 announced Claudeforce, an expanded strategic partnership that brings Claude’s reasoning together with Salesforce’s enterprise data, workflows, business logic and governance, aiming to power AI-driven action across both platforms.
The partnership launches with Salesforce in Claude, a plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills that let sellers and AI agents reason over live revenue data, automate pipeline updates and take governed action directly from Claude. The companies said they plan to introduce additional integrations across Claude, Salesforce and Slack over time, with more prebuilt skills expected to launch in late 2026.
Salesforce in Claude is powered by AIforce, Salesforce’s enterprise integration layer that connects business data and workflows to AI agents through MCP servers, APIs and CLI tools. The companies described the launch as a shift in how enterprise software works: rather than requiring users to navigate a static interface, AI agents can now access underlying data, workflows and business rules directly.

“We’re bringing together the world’s number one AI and number one CRM — the best of both worlds,” said Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s chair and CEO. “Probabilistic intelligence alone doesn’t run a company, and deterministic systems don’t reason. By fusing Claude’s extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows, and governance every enterprise runs on, we’re delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons, and acts.”
“We believe frontier intelligence should be safe, trusted, and deeply capable, which is why the world’s leading businesses turn to Claude for their most important work,” said Dario Amodei, Anthropic’s CEO and co-founder. “Through this partnership, companies can point Claude at the customer information and business context that they’ve been building in Salesforce for decades, and use it to actually run and grow their businesses.”
Salesforce Inside Claude
The Salesforce in Claude plugin gives sellers what the companies describe as an AI chief revenue officer, with prebuilt skills covering tasks such as meeting preparation, deal health review and pipeline review. The skills were built jointly by Salesforce and Anthropic and are designed around Claude’s reasoning and agentic tool use rather than functioning as generic prompts layered on top of Salesforce’s API, the companies said.
The plugin includes an onboarding flow that reads a seller’s existing context — Salesforce records, Slack activity and other connected data — to build a tailored dashboard of accounts and live pipeline data. Actions taken through the plugin are routed through Salesforce so that a company’s existing business rules are enforced. Setup requires a single administrator connection, after which authentication and permissions are managed centrally for the full sales team.
The plugin is currently available to select pilot customers, with a broader open beta expected in September 2026.

Claude Inside Salesforce
Separately, Claude is now available across Salesforce’s Agentforce products, serving as the reasoning model behind the Atlas Reasoning Engine and powering Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker by default, in addition to being selectable within Agent Builder.
Through Amazon Bedrock, Claude also operates within what Salesforce calls its Trust Boundary, allowing the model’s traffic to remain inside Salesforce’s virtual private cloud — a setup intended for customers in regulated industries who need to keep data and AI workloads contained. Early adopters of that configuration include CrowdStrike and RBC Wealth Management.
The announcement came the same day Salesforce reported its second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings, and shares of the company rose in after-hours trading following the news.
